Baker School students from kindergarten to grade three enjoyed reading together on the playing field this afternoon. Each child was given his or her own new book to enjoy and take home, and also read books from the classroom. This was a great start to our summer reading fun!
What a beautiful day we had in Boston for our visit to the Boston Public Garden. First Graders rode the swan boats, and then searched the park for the answers to our scavenger hunt. Many thanks to our amazing chaperones who made the day extra special for everyone!
We had an amazing visit to Olmstead Park, where we observed insects in their natural habitat. We found a wide range of insects at various stages of their life cycles. 1R students did an incredible job searching for and observing these fascinating animals.
We were so excited to release our adult butterflies onto the grounds of Baker School. Because they had already laid eggs, they were docile enough to sit on our hands. It was such a special experience to observe their incredible life cycles.
