This week, all of the first graders enjoyed "traveling" to learn in the other first grade classrooms. We worked on art with Mrs. Lewin, literacy with Ms. Doherty, math with Mrs. Bates, and engineering with Ms. Pinto! Cray-Pas Pumpkins in 1L!Making Text-to-Text Connections in 1D!Bat Graphs in 1B!Structure Building in 1P!Every month, we learn a new choreographed dance in 1R. Take a look at us performing our October dance to Jess Glynne's song, "Hold My Hand"! We are continuing to explore maps in 1R! We learned that maps can show land, water, roads and cities. We launched our new mapping unit by exploring a variety of maps and a globe in teams. Students then each presented one or more things they observed to the class.
1R and KP students estimated how many seeds are inside this giant pumpkin that Ms. Perkins found for us. We will be counting the total soon in Partner Pals! |
