Learning About The Statue of Liberty

We learned all about the Statue of Liberty, an important American symbol of freedom.  To understand just how big the statue is, we cut a piece of yarn 25 feet long and then laid it out in the hallway.  We found out that it is even longer than our 1R class line!!


We also learned how to draw the Statue of Liberty and did a piece of writing about it.  We discussed an interesting fact we learned and why we think the statue is a good symbol.
