Learning How To Be Good Digital CItizens & Be Safe Online

We watched the video, Safety Smart, to learn how to be safe online.  The children then found out that to be good digital citizens, they use their brains, their hearts, and their feet!

• Use your brain to remember how to be safe.  Do not give out any personal information to strangers online.
  
• Use your heart to make comments or ask questions.  Always consider the feelings of the people who will read or see what you put online.
  
• Remember that you always leave a digital footprint.  Everything you put online lasts forever!
  

We then practiced writing positive, supportive comments that we could use online on giant hearts.  We know to always use our hearts when we post online.

We traced each other's feet to make paper footprints.  They will be good reminders that we all leave a digital footprint online!
